Darren McMath of McKeague Morgan Advisory Ltd, the specialist restructuring and insolvency practice with offices in Belfast and Derry, has been appointed Liquidator of MAH (Tyrone) Ltd, whose principal asset is the well-known Mellon Country Inn on the outskirts of Omagh.
The liquidation process will be led by Gary Bonner, Director of Restructuring and Insolvency at McKeague Morgan, who will oversee the disposal and sale of the company’s assets. Originally from Omagh, Gary brings over 16 years of experience in corporate restructuring, insolvency and asset realisation across Northern Ireland.
The Mellon Country Inn was regarded as one of Tyrone’s best-known hospitality venues. For decades the popular family-run establishment was synonymous with weddings, celebrations, community gatherings and concerts, hosting many leading names from the country music scene including Lisa McHugh and Derek Ryan.
Situated close to the Ulster American Folk Park, the property occupied a unique position within the local tourism and hospitality landscape and benefitted from strong recognition across the region.
Commenting on the appointment, Gary Bonner said: “The Mellon Country Inn is a well-established and highly recognisable property with significant heritage and commercial appeal. Our immediate priority is to conduct an orderly liquidation process while seeking to maximise value for creditors.”

The Mellon Country Inn has historical connections to the renowned Mellon family, whose ancestors emigrated from the area to the United States in 1816. Synonymous with Pittsburgh, the Mellons became one of America’s most influential business and philanthropic dynasties.
McKeague Morgan Advisory believes the property’s strong brand recognition and prominent location will attract substantial market interest. Potential purchasers may range from hospitality operators seeking to re-establish the venue as a hotel and events destination or to developers considering residential or alternative uses.
