Six By Nico Re-Opens In Belfast Following Refurbishment

Six by Nico has reopened its Belfast restaurant following a major refurbishment, unveiling a warmer, more inviting look, a refreshed layout and a refitted signature open kitchen.

New upholstery, artwork and lighting elevate the Waring Street dining experience while preserving the theatre for which the brand’s pioneering six-course tasting menus are known and loved. Inspired by themes, destinations and concepts, Six by Nico arrived in Belfast in 2019 as its first restaurant outside Scotland. The landmark opening helped pave the way for a UK portfolio that now spans 13 successful sites.

Nico Simeone, founder of Six by Nico, comments: “Belfast will always be a special part of our story. When we opened here, the support of the talented team that helped us get off the ground and the overwhelming support from local guests, gave us the confidence to grow further.

“This refurbishment is our way of continually investing back into the guest experience in Belfast. The new layout feels warm and inviting, with all the theatre, atmosphere and beautiful food people expect from Six by Nico. We hope returning guests will love the transformation and that first-time visitors will enjoy discovering what Six by Nico is all about – creating a memorable dining experience that feels new and exciting with every menu.”

The first six-course tasting menu guests will be able to enjoy in the new look Belfast restaurant is American Murder Mystery, transporting diners to small-town America, where an intriguing decades-old murder case has been reopened. With every detail designed to take guests deeper into the story, diners will be given the opportunity to follow clues, decode messages and piece together evidence around the table throughout six courses.

Running until 15th November, the menu gives American comfort-food classics a signature Six by Nico twist, with highlights including Crispy Fried Chicken & Waffle; a Cuban Sandwich and New England Clam Chowder.

The menu will then evolve to embrace the warmth and nostalgia of the holiday season, as Six by Nico will bring Charles Dickens’ classic yuletide tale to the table. A Christmas Carol, inspired by Christmases past, present and future, will run from 16th November, featuring dishes that follow Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey of reflection towards generosity and gratitude. Festive diners can expect a reimagining of seasonal flavours, from a feast inspired by the Cratchit family to a feel-good chocolate orange finale, all to be enjoyed in the unique atmosphere of Six by Nico.
