The Hybrid Games, a dynamic fitness racing series established in 2025, is officially expanding to Northern Ireland. On 21 & 22 March 2026, the Eikon Exhibition Centre will host the first event of its kind in the venue, bringing a new level of accessible, high-energy competition to the region’s fitness community.
Built to bridge the gap between elite competition and amateur participation, The Hybrid Games offers a unique format consisting of ten fitness stations separated by ten 600m runs, finishing with a final 200m sprint. The series has quickly become a significant fixture on the UK circuit, having already welcomed over 10,000 athletes to iconic venues across the UK.
In a move to reward the dedication of its growing community, The Hybrid Games has recently announced a significant annual prize pot. Athletes who compete throughout the year will earn points toward The Hybrid Games leaderboard, with ?10,000 worth of prize money available for each category. This addition brings in an extra layer of excitement for competitive athletes while maintaining the inclusive atmosphere the brand is known for.
The expansion into Northern Ireland is a key part of the brand’s mission to make the sport more accessible across the UK.
“Bringing The Hybrid Games to Northern Ireland for the first time is a massive milestone for us,” says Dale Walker, Founder of The Hybrid Games. “Choosing the Eikon Exhibition Centre was a strategic decision driven by our commitment to accessibility – it’s a fantastic venue that allows us to welcome a range of participants.
We want to make it easy as possible for people to get involved, which is why our new ticketing platform allows racers to choose their start time within their category and spread the cost with a ‘pay in 3’ option. It’s all about putting the power back in the hands of the community”
“We’re delighted to welcome The Hybrid Games to the Eikon Exhibition Centre for its Northern Ireland debut,” says Theresa Morrissey, Group Executive Director. “The event brings an exciting new dimension to our calendar and aligns perfectly with our vision of hosting inclusive, high-energy experiences that appeal to a broad audience. The venue’s scale and flexibility make it an ideal home for an event of this calibre, and we look forward to seeing athletes from across Northern Ireland and beyond come together in March 2026.”
The Eikon event marks the start of a busy 2026 season, with four primary events confirmed for March, April, August, and October. Tickets are now available via The Hybrid Games website where participants can secure their spot, choose their start time, and take advantage of flexible payment options.
