The PSAE is the association’s highest award and is the only available accolade in the world for those on the speaking circuit that does not accept nominations. Instead, it is voted for by previous winners in a secret voting process, meaning the County Down broadcaster and event host has earned the recognition of his predecessors and peers across the industry.
Already a household name across the UK and Ireland, David is a celebrated presenter, broadcaster, and motivational speaker. He has delivered countless successful BBC One TV projects and found success in his work as a mentalist, delivering live tours on the road as Northern Ireland’s master of illusion.
With over 16 years’ experience delivering corporate events, David is known for his electrifying on-stage presence, captivating delivery, and unique ability to force audiences to think critically about the challenges surrounding them while delivering valuable lessons in leadership, organisational culture, and performance.
Based in Holywood County Down, David diversified his business to deliver hybrid and virtual sessions and team builds during the pandemic, running over 250 virtual events for clients such as Vodafone, Deloitte, Astra Zeneca, and EY and is on path to secure another growth year with revenue projected to reach £3 million.
The PSAE is considered the UK equivalent of the CPAE’s Speaker Hall of Fame accolade, a lifetime recognition award that honours professional speakers who have reached the top echelon of platform excellence.
Alongside his international keynote career, David runs Lightbulb Teams with his ex-wife, Elaine. A philanthropic team building business, Lightbulb allows organisations to build life changing prosthetic hands and water filters that are donated all across the world.
