Lisburn-based Mercury Security & Facilities Management (MSFM), which provides a specialised deep cleaning service designed to eliminate COVID–19, is also urging companies not to leave it too late to book their deep clean, or they could face a further wait before returning to action.
“The Prime Minister has now given the green light for employees in certain sectors to start returning to work,” said MSFM Commercial Director Bernard Bogues.
“On Sunday, Boris Johnson paved the way for staff who cannot do their jobs at home to return to work, highlighting the manufacturing and construction industries as examples. This will be followed very carefully and gradually by the re-opening of shops, schools, offices, restaurants and many more besides.
“Never has it been more important to ensure the environment in which we live and work in is being cleaned and maintained to the highest of clinical standards, so for the easing of these lockdown restrictions to work, it is vital that premises undergo a deep clean to sanitise the entire area,” he continued.
“Companies simply cannot afford to take chances with the health and safety of their employees or other visitors to their premises and risk a second wave of the virus. With so many businesses currently in lockdown, the demand for specialised deep cleaning services is sure to be extremely high – so we would advise owners to book as soon as they have a return date – to prevent any further frustration and delay.
“At Mercury, we’ll be carrying out deep cleans on a ‘first come first served’ basis,” added Mr Bogues.
“It’s also vital that, having safely re-opened their doors, companies schedule regular cleans going forward to minimise the risk of the virus coming back. We’re far from out of the woods just yet.”
Carried out by operators fully equipped with appropriate PPE (Tyvek suits, gloves, masks etc), a typical MSFM disinfection includes risk assessment, area isolation, zonal disinfectation, random swab tests and waste removal, with a fully comprehensive report and certificate provided on completion.
“This is not a standard deep clean that one can get any day of the week,” continued Bernard Bogues.
