Since 2015 Larchfield have reduced their scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by an impressive 74% – this is notwithstanding company growth. Steps taken include:

Biomass Boiler, fin tube piping & strat fans to replace diesel generator & electric heating
Thermostats in main rooms
Automated sensor lighting
As well as reducing consumption and waste carbon is sequestered in 180 acres of forestry onsite and green field pastures.

Larchfield Estate is a privately run, exclusive hire venue based in the heart of the Co. Down countryside. Operating since 2007 as an events venue it has expanded to hold two venues onsite and 16 overnight self-catering rooms which are open to the public. Just 20 minutes from Belfast, and 1 hour 30 minutes from Dublin, the Georgian estate hosts private, corporate and charity events, family stays and group retreats. It is also a film location, with productions from ITV, Netflix and the BBC in recent years.
