Northern Ireland has been feeling the full effects of Storm Éowyn this morning.
There are reports of numerous trees down across roads. Closures include the southbound M2 between Dunsilly and Rathbeg due to fallen trees.
Meanwhile, more than 93,000 homes and business premises are without power. Emergency NIE Networks crews won’t be able to start assessing the situation in the field until after the red alert period has passed.
On the travel front, flights have been cancelled at both Belfast airports, and Stena Line ferry services have been suspended. Translink has also cancelled all bus and train services until later today.
The red weather alert extends until 2 pm this afternoon, with an amber warning in place until this evening.
