Musgrave NI and its SuperValu, Centra and Mace brands have secured 18 nominations across their store network ahead of this year’s prestigious Retail Industry Awards, while Centra has also made it to the finals of the Forecourt Trader Awards.
SuperValu, Centra and Mace are set to make their mark at the ‘Oscars’ of the grocery sector, with independent retail partners and company owned stores securing 15 finalist positions at this year’s UK-wide Retail Industry Awards, including Independent Retailer of the Year and Independent Community Retailer of the Year.
The Centra brand has also picked up a nomination for the highly coveted Symbol/Franchise Group of the Year award following its 2025 win in the same category, a testament to the brand’s innovative approach and position at the forefront of Northern Ireland’s food retail sector.
Alongside the success of its brands and retail partners, Musgrave Retail Stores have been shortlisted for Convenience Retailer of the Year, with Musgrave NI named as a finalist in the Community Retailer of the Year category, recognising the business’s continued commitment to local communities, charity partners and customer experience across its entire store network.
The Retail Industry Awards reward excellence and outstanding achievement across a broad range of categories, recognising independent retailers alongside the large supermarket groups.
Championing innovation, customer experience and site performance at forecourts across the UK, the Forecourt Trader Awards have shortlisted Centra Dungiven in the Northern Ireland over 4mpla (million litres per annum) category.
David Higgins, Retail Sales Director at Musgrave NI said:
