Duality Healthcare To Open New Clinic In Holywood

Duality Healthcare has announced it will open its sixth clinic at 43 High Street, Holywood, on Monday 26 October 2026. The clinic represents an investment of £250,000 in the local economy and will create 10 new jobs across clinical and support roles.

Duality Healthcare, which has the largest number of independent primary care clinics in Northern Ireland, is extending its NI-wide clinical network into North Down with the opening of the Holywood clinic. It will give the local community faster access to same-day private GP care, diagnostic scans and specialist clinics close to home.

Patients in Holywood will be able to access a range of Duality’s specialist services on their doorstep including:

  • General GP services, including same-day in-clinic and virtual appointments, prescriptions and medical reports
  • Women’s and men’s health, including hormone, menopause and wellbeing clinics
  • Minor surgery and procedures
  • Bloods and medicals, from routine blood tests to full health checks
  • Ear care, including wax removal and hearing tests
  • End-to-end ADHD care, from assessment and diagnosis through to ongoing treatment and review

The clinic is also supported by Duality’s UK-wide virtual care service, so patients can also see a clinician by video or from home if it suits them better.

The 10 new posts at the Duality Healthcare Holywood clinic include GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants and administration staff which will support the local economy.

John McEvoy, CEO and Co-Founder of Duality Healthcare, said: “Duality Healthcare is Northern Ireland’s largest independent primary care provider. Our sixth clinic brings high-quality, accessible primary care to the heart of Holywood, and creates 10 skilled jobs across a range of roles. We’re grateful to our patients, partners and team, whose support has made this growth possible, and we look forward to welcoming the people of Holywood and North Down from 26th October.”

Nicola Herron, Chief Medical Officer at Duality Healthcare adds: “Holywood is a natural next step for Duality. We’ve built our network on the belief that people deserve to be seen quickly, by the right clinician, close to where they live, and this clinic is a direct expression of that.”

Founded in 2023, Duality Healthcare is a private healthcare provider offering a full range of general health services including private GP care, diagnostic scans and specialist clinics across Northern Ireland, in one of its five current clinics, Belfast, Newry, Omagh, Ballymena, Derry/Londonderry, plus the new Holywood clinic, or through its UK-wide virtual care service.

Earlier this year, Duality Healthcare announced it is now recognised and regulated by the Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards across its services.

The new Holywood clinic will open Monday to Saturday, with late-night appointments available. To learn more or to make an appointment visit www.dualityhealthcare.com.
