Irish broadcaster Craig Doyle will bring his trademark warmth and wit to Belfast next week as host of the Royal Television Society Northern Ireland (RTS NI) Television Awards, sponsored by Ka-Boom.
The awards ceremony takes place at Titanic Belfast next Thursday (12 November 2026), bringing together some of the biggest names in the local screen industry to celebrate the people, programmes and productions putting Northern Ireland firmly on the television map.
A familiar face to audiences across Ireland and the UK, Craig is best known for his appearances on This Morning, alongside an extensive career in sports broadcasting covering rugby, the NFL and the Olympic Games for broadcasters including RTÉ, TNT, BT Sport, BBC and ITV.
Craig Doyle, host of the RTS NI 2026 Awards said: “I’m delighted to be hosting this year’s RTS Northern Ireland Awards ceremony. There’s so much to celebrate about the television industry here, from the incredible talent behind the camera to the presenters, performers, producers and crews bringing brilliant stories to life. Northern Ireland is consistently delivering content that stands shoulder‑to‑shoulder with the best in the industry, and it’s fantastic to have an evening dedicated to recognising the people who make that happen. Hosting the RTS NI Awards is a chance to celebrate the teams driving that momentum — from emerging talent to the companies securing international commissions. It promises to be a great night in Belfast.”
Zoe McGivern, Chair of the RTS NI Awards Committee, said: “We are delighted Craig will be joining us for this year’s Awards ceremony. His experience in live broadcasting, entertainment and sport makes him a perfect host alongside the fantastic energy he will bring to the occasion. This year’s finalists show exactly why Northern Ireland matters in the wider UK and global production landscape. Our crews are delivering at the highest level, our producers are securing international commissions, and exciting new voices are breaking through and the RTS NI Awards shine a light on all those achievements.”
The RTS Northern Ireland Awards are supported by BBC Northern Ireland, Northern Ireland Screen, Channel 4, TG4 and RTÉ, with Ka-Boom as headline sponsor. The Awards Ceremony takes place on Thursday 12 November at Titanic Belfast. The finalists are listed on the RTS website https://rts.org.uk/award/rts-ni-awards-2026-nominees-announced
