Belfast City Airport Renews Sponsorship Of Cinemagic Film Festival

Belfast City Airport is continuing its longstanding partnership with Cinemagic as main sponsor of the 37th Cinemagic International Film Festival for Young People, taking place this October.

The festival, in association with Belfast City Airport, brings children and families together through film and television, with a programme designed to encourage creativity, introduce young audiences to new ideas and interests, and showcase the breadth of opportunities within the screen industries.

This year’s programme will feature a wide range of films, screenings, workshops and creative experiences, with children from some of Belfast City Airport’s adopted schools also set to take part.

Michelle Hatfield, Chief People and Marketing Officer at Belfast City Airport, said:

“Cinemagic’s Festival of Film is a fantastic celebration of film and creativity, and we’re delighted to be main sponsor of it this year.

“At Belfast City Airport, supporting the next generation is an important part of our work within the local community. Cinemagic provides a wonderful platform for children and young people to engage with film and television, try something different and see where their interests could take them in the future.

“We’re particularly pleased that children from some of our adopted schools will have the opportunity to be part of this year’s programme. We look forward to seeing another fantastic festival come to life this October.”

Belfast City Airport’s support for Cinemagic forms part of its wider commitment to being a good neighbour and contributing positively to the communities around it. The airport supports a range of initiatives that help young people broaden their horizons, develop new skills and access experiences that can have a lasting impact.

Joan Burney Keatings, Chief Executive of Cinemagic, added:

“We are delighted to present the 37th Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People in Association with Belfast City Airport this Autumn. With thanks to our funders and sponsors our audiences and visitors are set to enjoy a vibrant programme of film opportunities and experiences. The programme offers incredible thought-provoking films, which are the very best of contemporary cinema as well as featuring exclusive previews and premieres from around the world.

“I encourage you to join our creative workshops, talks, masterclasses and film juries and to celebrate emerging talent from the UK and Ireland at the Cinemagic Young Filmmaker Competition Weekend.”

The 37th Cinemagic International Film Festival for Young People will take place throughout October, with a programme of screenings, workshops and events for young audiences.
