Autism NI – Northern Ireland’s longest-running autism charity, and a leading training provider for over 35 years – has been selected as Kinecx Energy’s Charity of the Year for 2026. The partnership will help raise vital funds to support Autism NI’s services and contribute to the delivery of its Strategic Plan.
Autism NI was voted by staff as the winning contender for the company’s Charity of the Year 2026, with fundraising activities already underway. Early initiatives have included a Valentine’s Day breakfast and a Pancake Tuesday event, with more activities planned throughout the year.
Autism NI will kick off the partnership by hosting an information session for Kinecx Energy employees to raise awareness of the charity’s work and the support it provides to autistic people and their families across Northern Ireland.

Funds raised by Kinecx Energy will support Autism NI’s advocacy work, support services and training programmes. Founded in 1990 at a time when autism was far less understood, the charity has played a central role in major milestones for autistic people, including lobbying for the Autism Act (NI) 2011 and the Autism Amendment Act 2022.
This partnership will also help advance Autism NI’s Strategic Plan 2024–2029, which outlines how the charity will work alongside partners and stakeholders to build an inclusive society through listening, supporting, empowering and influencing positive change for autistic people.
Each year, Autism NI supports thousands of individuals through its Helpline, Early Intervention Service, Adult Support Service, and Support Group Network. The organisation remains focused on amplifying autistic voices, driving positive change and improving access to timely information and support.
