Action Mental Health Celebrates Double At Fundraising Awards

Action Mental Health celebrated a double success at the recent Chartered Institute of Fundraising Northern Ireland 2025 Awards. The event, is an annual platform which recognises charitable impact, interaction through volunteering etc. and showcases the tireless work and human endeavour through many charities across Northern Ireland and is a key event in the fundraising calendar.

The Action Mental Health fundraising team nominated two partners and one volunteer in recognition of their fundraising efforts ahead of this year’s event. Winning Fundraising Partnership of the Year alongside Allstate Northern Ireland, for their 2024 staff charity partnership. As Action Mental Health’s Charity of the Year 2024/2025, Allstate raised a phenomenal £73,743 in support of Action Mental Health. These funds will make a lasting difference in the lives of those Action Mental Health across Northern Ireland.

Bernie Haughey, Business Engagement Coordinator at Allstate, commented:

“We’re incredibly proud of the impact we’ve made alongside Action Mental Health. This partnership brought our people together in the most meaningful way — raising awareness, breaking down stigma, and delivering real support to our communities. The results have far exceeded our expectations and left a lasting legacy we’re truly proud of.”

Action Mental Health gained further recognition by receiving Highly Commended in Fundraising Campaign of the Year category, with a winning collaboration involving the Henderson Group for the ‘Miles for Mental Health 2025’ staff fundraising campaign. The Henderson Group has raised over £125,000 for Action Mental Health through its long term partnership, while also bringing additional wellbeing services and awareness to its own workforce.

“Action Mental Health is a deserving charity which does such important work, helping to break stigmas and supporting people across Northern Ireland when they need it most. Our partnership has not only raised vital funds but brought real wellbeing benefits to our colleagues, so we’re thrilled to see the Miles for Mental Health campaign recognised in these awards.”

The awards also recognised the outstanding support of volunteer Dolores Fearon in recognition of her tireless support and fundraising efforts for Action Mental Health in memory of her late husband.

Action Mental Health CEO, David Babington said, “We want to extend a huge thank you to all our wonderful supporters who help to support our vital mental health services across Northern Ireland, and a massive well done to our fundraising team and all of the colleagues across our services and business support teams who help to bring our fundraising events, activities and partnerships to life.”
