RBCA Expands Belfast Tax Team

Belfast-based chartered accountancy firm RBCA has expanded its tax advisory team in response to a growing client base, and an increasingly complex tax landscape.

The firm has appointed Adam Wasylkiw, formerly of EY, as Personal Tax Manager – reinforcing a tax capability that has been deliberately developed over the past 15 years. His appointment brings RBCA’s dedicated tax team to eight specialists across both corporate and personal tax.

Founder and director Ross Boyd says strengthening the firm’s tax expertise has become essential as clients adjust to an increasingly complex tax landscape: “As 2025 closes, business owners and individuals are increasingly leaning into us for tax advice to navigate their tax liabilities amid shifting directives from HMRC. We’ve invested steadily in the expertise of our tax team and also our AI powered systems so clients can rely on us for clarity, confidence and the right advice when it matters most.”

RBCA represents thousands of clients and prepares tax returns each year on their behalf, ranging from straightforward personal filings to complex business restructures and long-term tax planning strategies. The firm provides comprehensive support across personal, business and trust matters, helping clients navigate day-to-day compliance alongside strategic advisory needs.

With significant changes on the horizon – including Making Tax Digital in April 2026, changes to Agricultural Property Relief on Inheritance and further Capital Gains Tax increases after March 2026 – Ross concludes: “Continued investment in expertise remains critical to ensuring our clients stay ahead of new and emerging financial obligations.  Our clients tax responsibilities are becoming more complicated, not less, so we have invested in expanding our team to guide our clients through the complexities.”

RBCA’s commitment to developing talent also extends beyond its client services. The firm will relaunch its People Growthin 2026, offering opportunities for passionate and capable professionals of all levels. From school leavers across Northern Ireland to experienced professionals RBCA offers a high-quality alternative to excel in financial services.
