O2 Belfast Unveils New Blueroom For Priority Members

The O2 Belfast has officially opened the doors to the O2 Blueroom – a new, exclusive pre-event space giving Priority members even more from their experience at all events and Belfast Giants home games. Priority is the award-winning loyalty platform from O2, available to all O2 customers at no extra cost.

Officially opened this week on the opening night of Westlife’s ‘25 Years of Hits’ anniversary world tour, the O2 Blueroom is designed to make the premium experience start from the moment guests arrive, offering Priority members and up to three guests’ access through a dedicated VIP entrance before heading into the exclusive space to enjoy the build-up to their event.

Inside, guests can make use of a private bar, with a dedicated food and drink menu available. A photo booth gives visitors the opportunity to capture special memories from their night, while comfortable seating provides a place to meet with friends, grab a drink, and soak up the atmosphere before the action gets underway.

At selected events, the O2 Blueroom will also welcome talented local DJs and musicians for live sets as well as bespoke activations and other surprises, bringing unique additions to the pre-event experience and providing a platform for local talent at Northern Ireland’s premier live entertainment destination.

Claire Cosgrave, Director, Arena and Experience at The Odyssey Trust, said: “We want the experience at The O2 Belfast to begin from the moment our customers arrive, and the O2 Blueroom gives Priority members and their guests a fantastic way to start their night. From the dedicated entrance and private bar to live local music, a lot of thought has gone into creating a space that feels special while still capturing the atmosphere and excitement of an event night.

“Our partnership with O2 is about looking at how we can continue to provide the best experience every time for the people coming through our doors, and it’s exciting to see another part of that partnership come to life with the opening of the O2 Blueroom.”

The opening marks the latest development at The O2 Belfast following the beginning of its landmark 10-year naming rights agreement with O2 in July 2026. Central to the partnership is a shared ambition to enhance the experience for guests and create additional benefits for Priority members attending live entertainment and sport in Belfast. Since the partnership began, O2 has deployed a new mobile network infrastructure, which gives eventgoers in the arena a boost and provides a more reliable and higher-capacity mobile experience for fans, even during sold-out events.

Gareth Griffiths, Director, Partnerships and Sponsorships at Virgin Media O2, commented: “We want the experience at The O2 Belfast to begin from the moment our customers arrive, and the O2 Blueroom gives Priority members and their guests a great way to do that. With a dedicated entrance, private bar, and live local music, it adds something extra to a night out with us.

“Our partnership with O2 is about finding new ways to make every visit even better, and the Blueroom is the latest step in that.”

The O2 Blueroom will be available to Priority members at all arena events and Belfast Giants home games, with entry offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority members can access the space by downloading the Priority app and redeeming their O2 Blueroom code for the relevant event or game. The code can then be shown to a member of staff upon arrival, with each Priority member able to bring up to three guests to enjoy the experience with them.

The launch of O2 Blueroom is part of the continued evolution of the customer experience at The O2 Belfast and follows a series of investments designed to enhance visits to the venue. The space adds another exclusive benefit for Priority members while creating a new destination within The O2 Belfast for customers to enjoy before some of the biggest names in live entertainment take to the stage and the Belfast Giants hit the ice.
