The Spa at Culloden has been named Northern Ireland’s Best Hotel Spa 2026 at the prestigious World Spa Awards.
The annual awards celebrate excellence across the global spa and wellness industry, recognising the outstanding spas, wellness retreats, brands and experiences setting the benchmark internationally. Now in its twelfth year, the awards aim to drive standards within spa and wellness tourism and connect consumers with some of the world’s leading wellness experiences.
The recognition comes as the Culloden Estate & Spa celebrates its 150th anniversary, marking a milestone year for the five-star hotel. It has been named AA Hotel of the Year for Northern Ireland 2026, while The Spa was named Ulster Tatler Spa of the Year 2026 and is shortlisted for Boutique Spa of the Year at the 2026 British Association of Beauty Therapy Cosmetology Awards.
The Spa at Culloden has continued to strengthen its wellness offering through continued investment in its facilities, treatments and guest experiences, recently introducing globally renowned skincare brand, Medik8, to its treatment portfolio alongside a growing programme of restorative and immersive wellness experiences, including Ireland’s first Floating Sound Bath and Red Light Pilates.
Niamh Rice, Spa Manager at The Spa at Culloden said: “We are incredibly proud to be named Northern Ireland’s Best Hotel Spa. To receive this international recognition is a fantastic achievement for the entire team and reflects the care, expertise and attention to detail that goes into the experience we create for every guest.
Wellness has changed significantly in recent years and our guests are looking for more than a traditional spa experience. We have continued to invest in and develop our offering, bringing together exceptional treatments, relaxation and innovative wellness experiences in a setting that allows people to switch off and take time for themselves.”
“I’d like to thank every member of our spa and health club teams. This award is a testament to their hard work and commitment to delivering the highest standards of service and ensuring our guests have the best possible experience every time they visit The Spa at Culloden,” Niamh added.
Rebecca Cohen, Managing Director of World Spa Awards, said: “For twelve years, World Spa Awards has celebrated the exceptional organisations and individuals shaping the future of global spa and wellness. This year’s winners represent the very highest standards of excellence, innovation and guest experience, demonstrating the continued vitality and evolution of our industry.
