Women in Business’s newly appointed Chair, Nichola Robinson launched the Women in Business’s Business Education Forum at the 2019 Women in Business Chair’s Lunch. The forum will see stakeholders from the business and education spheres working together to keep educational change on the agenda, focusing on the need to educate children with business acumen including an ethos of support and motivation.

With 40% of young people in Northern Ireland leaving school without 5 GCSEs, Women in Business is calling for enterprise to be embedded in primary school curriculum and student loans to be made available to school leavers interested in starting their own business, equivalent to those available for university goers.

Pictured at the event were Professor Deirdre Heenan, Ulster University, Roseann Kelly, Chief Executive, Women in Business, Nichola Robinson, Chair, Women in Business and Ciara Rooney student at Assumption Grammar School
