The project was completed through the Scottish division of The Alpha Group, Alpha Scotland, which recently opened new premises in Finnieston, Glasgow.
Julie Carson of Alpha Scotland said:
“Education is an area in which we do a great deal of work and we are delighted to have the opportunity to bring our expertise to such an exciting new development. The importance of surroundings, particularly, when it comes to learning, cannot be underestimated.”
Graham Black, University of the West of Scotland Project Director added:
“We are always looking for ways to enhance the learning experience of our students and are very aware of the need to create spaces that facilitate this. Our new Lanarkshire Campus gives us the opportunity to offer fresh, contemporary interiors and products that are conducive to thinking, study and the exchange of information and ideas.”
The Alpha Group expanded into the Scottish market with the acquisition of Steelcase Scotland in 2016 and has since delivered a number of major projects in Scotland for Scottish Power and The University of Glasgow, amongst others. Alpha is headquartered in Belfast and has operations in the Republic of Ireland, England and, most recently, Scotland.
