Rewarding creative excellence is the focus of the fifteenth Publicity Association of Northern Ireland’s (PANI) Awards to be held on 24th November 2022 in the Culloden Hotel. Launched today (30th June), the PANI Awards will feature 29 categories including the six core themes of television, press, outdoor, radio, digital and magazine.

The contribution of Media Owners and Sponsors will also be recognized as will work on an international platform.

Also new for 2022 is the addition of awards for Best Cinema Campaign and expanded TV, Outdoor and Digital categories. Recognising emerging talent is the subject of another new category – Rising Star of the Industry.

Speaking at the launch, Chair of PANI, Rebecca Rodgers, said, “Our key aim at PANI is to promote excellence across all aspects of the advertising, marketing and allied media industries. In such a fast-changing world, creativity cannot stand still and it is that resilience, flexibility and continual innovation that we will be seeking to recognise and celebrate through this year’s Awards. There are undoubtedly countless examples of great campaigns and we would encourage all our colleagues across Northern Ireland to get involved and enter this year’s awards.”

The judging panel, Chaired by Creative Consultant Billy Mawhinney, will comprise another twelve highly experienced and eminent advertising executives from throughout the UK.

PANI Awards Chair, Pauline Moore, added, “It has been 5 years since we last held these Awards so we’re going all out to create an amazing event for 2022. The theme will be ‘Hollywood glamour’ and I’ve no doubt that red carpet opulence will be fully embraced by all those who attend.”

“This year’s awards are kindly sponsored by Reach, Media Huis, Bauer Radio NI, Global, JCDecaux, Clear Channel NI, Channel 4, UTV, Alexander Boyd Displays, Soundhouse and Wide Eye Media. I am most grateful to all the category sponsors for enabling us to deliver these Awards and for their ongoing support to PANI. It is now over to our local creative industry to seize this opportunity to have their work recognized and applauded.”

The PANI Awards website will be live mid-July to receive entries with the final closing date for submissions being 5pm on Wednesday 31st August 2022.
