A new awards event is to be staged in Belfast next year. The Events Industry Northern Ireland (EINI) Awards, which are to be held at Titanic Belfast, the world’s leading tourist attraction, on Saturday 25 April 2020, are designed to celebrate the development of the province’s events industry.

Northern Ireland is renowned for hosting a range of world-class events – from sporting to business, from cultural to food and beverage – and these awards will reward the unique achievements of those, who have worked so hard to not only ensure the success of these and previous events, but who continue to attract new and exciting opportunities to our shores.

Event professionals from across the province, who are dedicated to shaping the festival and events industry, will attend the black-tie event, which will not only highlight organisers’ achievements, but will celebrate the standards of excellence and the fascinating creativity that are involved in producing cutting-edge event experiences.

Every sector of the events industry will be recognised by the awards, which will be presented for: Event Management Team of the Year; Event Venue of the Year; Third Sector Event of the Year; Outdoor Event of the Year; B2B Event of the Year; Sponsorship and Event Collaboration of the Year; Consumer Event of the Year; Event Organiser of the Year; NI Sports Event of the Year; Community Event of the Year; Young Event Professional of the Year and Best Event of the Year (People’s Choice/Vote).

These exciting new awards have been organised and launched by Profile – a Belfast based event management company – which specialises in organising international events, outdoor events, networking events and gala award dinners.

Profile Director, Maureen Delaney commented ‘These awards are the first of their kind for Northern Ireland and will give the opportunity for you and your fellow professionals to network, celebrate and connect with likeminded professionals.

We want to celebrate the development of Northern Ireland’s events industry and recognise the excellence in this sector.

With its reputation for fantastic events now recognised on the global stage, Victoria Beatty, Titanic Belfast’s Business and Leisure Markets Manager, feels that the venue is the perfect backdrop for these new, innovative awards.

At Titanic Belfast, we are passionate about events,’ she said. ‘Since opening in 2012, we have been one of the city’s signature venues and our offering has played a fundamental role in reinvigorating Belfast’s event industry and has been a key driver for business tourism. We have now hosted over 2,500 local, national and international events across all our venues (Titanic Belfast, SS Nomadic and TEC Belfast) and are delighted not only to sponsor Northern Ireland’s Event Industry Awards but to host the celebrations that showcase the development of the industry, reward all the hard work and highlight all the achievements.’
