Local Businessman Neil McKibbin has acquired 100% of Belfast-based recruitment firm VANRATH. VANRATH was established back in 2000 by entrepreneur Wayne Sullivan as a boutique recruitment business, initially focussing on recruitment within the finance sector.

In the years that followed, the business grew significantly to become Northern Ireland’s leading professional recruitment business, expanding into specialists areas like Technology, HR and Engineering.

In 2018 Neil McKibbin, a business owner and property developer who led the redevelopment of Belfast’s Custom House, acquired a 50% share in VANRATH. Since then the business has continued to thrive, with revenues of £22m in 2023, and an expansion of services into other business sectors.

After more than 20 years Wayne Sulliver has decided to pursue other priorities and interests with Neil now taking full ownership of the business.

Managing Director Barbara McKiernan, supported by the senior management team, will continue with the day-to-day running of the business, with Neil McKibbin providing his support to the team.
