Peter Hamill, created the brand after becoming aware of the fact that parents were becoming more and more concerned about the harmful ingredients used in traditional paints;
“When I had my daughter and was decorating the nursery I was horrified at the lack of choice of paints that were truly baby safe, I wanted to paint her room without the worry of having her sleeping in it soon after and I wanted the peace of mind that what we were using wasn’t harmful in any way. As parents, we are now more informed than ever and as manufacturers it is our responsibility to provide products that meet the absolute highest standards possible. When you become a parent, worries and concerns arise, seemingly from nowhere. The barrage of information and advice can be daunting and the amount of decisions that need to be made for the benefit of your new child can be overwhelming. We wanted to help make at least one of those decisions a little simpler.”
“Our paints can be used on walls but also on furniture so a bespoke painted cot, drawers or wardrobes are all possible. At the minute pink, blue and white are available but we will soon be adding to the colour palette with gender neutral colours such as greys, oatmeals and also lilac so our clients tastes can all be catered for.”
The organisation was recently granted permission by the Royal Names Team at the Cabinet Office on the company’s request to use the ‘King of Paints’ brand on the premium branded range, a milestone they are extremely proud of;
Peter explains;
“Being allowed to use the word ‘King’ in our branding was no easy task, there was a rigorous application process to ensure our brand could uphold the stately title and be deserving of the crown. It’s something we are very proud of and we’re looking forward to building our brand in the global market. Along with independent retailers locally, we’re already in talks with a large US retailer and also one in the Middle East which will position the King of Paint’s firmly on the map.”
King of Paints have been trading since 2016 supplying quality paints and coatings to Home and Garden Centre’s, Retail Outlets, Coatings Dealers, Independent Distributors and Online Retailers such as Amazon, One Buy and Etsy.
