Northern Ireland’s premier private healthcare group, Kingsbridge Healthcare Group with private hospitals in Belfast, Ballykelly and Sligo have generously sponsored former Ulster, Ireland, British & Irish Lions Captain, Rory Best as he embarks on an epic challenge to support Cancer Fund for Children. From the 8th – 17th September, during Childhood Cancer Awareness month, Rory will walk 180 miles across Ireland from Cancer Fund for Children’s therapeutic centre, Daisy Lodge in Newcastle Co.

Down to the site of a proposed new Daisy Lodge in Co. Mayo.

Cancer Fund for Children has been offering therapeutic short breaks to families across Ireland for six years but currently only one in seven families can be supported as the capacity in Daisy Lodge in Newcastle is not sufficient to meet demand. The charity desperately needs a second short break centre and Co. Mayo has been selected as its new home. A new therapeutic centre will help ensure that no child faces cancer alone and Kingsbridge Private Healthcare Group are playing their part in helping to make this happen.
