Taking the position of chairman, Brendan Dowling has joined the firm to provide strategic advice on the food company’s ongoing success in its home market, bringing the same innovation in quality food, experience and knowledge into new markets across Europe and the Middle East, where customers are looking for high-quality products from trusted suppliers.
Joining as chief operating officer, Eamon McKey has extensive experience in the food sector and a background in accountancy. Eamon’s focus in the new role will see him work across all departments to ensure the firm’s continued high standards of client service are delivered.
Speaking about the latest appointments, CEO, Brian Reid, said:
“With an innovation-led business strategy and a huge demand for our quality and wide-ranging products, we’re keen to learn from the success of our existing client relationships and the close partnerships we have built, and replicate these in new international markets.
“The addition of Eamon and Brendan to the team and their combined experience will greatly bolster this focus and allow us to develop business opportunities through both new product innovation for our local clients as well as building export sales abroad.”
DELI-LITES Ireland is based outside Warrenpoint where it employs over 250 people. The business was founded by Brian and Jackie Reid in 1998 and its customers include major retailers such as Sainsbury’s, Boots and Applegreen, as well as local food service companies.
