Barclay Communications has signed a new 2 year deal with UK and Ireland based healthcare provider, Connected Health. With circa 1200 employees, Connected Health offers effective and efficient high quality healthcare services in the home and community keeping clients in their own homes and promoting independence.

After reaching the end of its current mobile contract, Connected Health got in touch with Barclay Communications to discuss the possibility of a new partnership to provide mobile devices to its remote working staff.

The new 2 year contract will see the company supply new handsets, tariffs and support allowing seamless connectivity to Connected Health’s Area Managers and Senior Care staff facilitating client reviews and care assessments while on-site. The new technology will also enable staff to manage their team of carers from any location.

The communication package had a number of requirements, including the need to integrate with its current Mobile Device Management (MDM) software.

Connected Health’s TEC Manager, Rebecca Vogel explained: “We deliver homecare with innovation; therefore, the new Android handsets will facilitate our move to homecare 2.0, providing a blend of technology alongside physical care.”

“The spec of the new handsets will enable our Area Managers and Senior team to have important client information at their fingertips, enabling live care monitoring, integration with our healthcare technology devices in the home and virtual interaction – as well as enhanced communication with their team of care assistants.”

Speaking about the new partnership, Britt Megahey, Managing Director for Barclay Communications said: “It’s great to see how our services can help such an important provider in the community. We are delighted to welcome Connected Health as a Barclay customer and we look forward to building a strong partnership with them.

“Our team worked very closely with Rebecca from Connected Health to create a package that added real benefit to the end-users and had a positive impact on their clients going forward.”

Barclay Communications are one of the last family owned telecoms companies based in Northern Ireland. The company prides itself on getting to know customers on a personal level and offering one point of contact has meant they are successfully servicing over 11,000 customers with 100,000 connections.

Mr Megahey continues:

“It’s important to us that we offer our customers a full package. That means, not only providing them with the most up-to-date technology, but also giving them the backend support that is needed to make their experience with us a success.

“We are proud to be one of the last family owned businesses in the industry and we are delighted to be celebrating our 25 year anniversary in 2022. It’s a huge achievement for any business and we have our loyal customers and hard-working staff to thank for this.”

Ms Vogel emphasised the importance of having a reliable point of contact, highlighting:

“Having a consistent, familiar face to pick up the phone to or meet, often at short notice, is a welcome change from some of the larger providers.

“We are delighted to partner with a local, family owned business. Having a single dedicated account manager guarantees the support we need to meet the vital requirement of our business.”
