Air Ambulance NI works with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) to provide the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) and marks its 5th anniversary this year. It provides a 365-day-a-year service, providing high-quality pre-hospital emergency care, making any location in Northern Ireland accessible within approximately 25 minutes.
James Richards, Executive Director of Baker McKenzie’s Belfast Centre said: “We are delighted to support Air Ambulance NI as our charity partner, in this their 5th anniversary year.”
“When we asked our own people what it was like to work at Baker McKenzie they chose the words brave, brilliant and kind – three words we have adopted as our core values. We’re delighted to say that in Air Ambulance NI, we have a charity partner that echoes those values admirably.”
Air Ambulance NI is a registered charity and relies on donations from the general public, requiring £5,500 per day to keep the service operational. The medical team is called upon on average twice a day to treat a critically ill or injured patient as a result of an accident or serious medical emergency.
Kerry Anderson, Head of Fundraising at Air Ambulance NI, said, “It’s wonderful that the team at Baker McKenzie has chosen to support the air ambulance service.
“The service is there for every one of us, should we need it and thanks to support like this, it can be sustained for years to come. We are looking forward to getting to know the team at Baker McKenzie and ensuring they enjoy raising funds and awareness for our charity.”
The team at Baker McKenzie Belfast has a host of upcoming fundraisers and volunteer activities starting this month and will be working together to raise a substantial amount of funds for this important local cause.
