The prestigious Culloden Estate & Spa played host to a night of recognition and celebration on Thursday 15th May, as the 2025 Business Eye Sustainability & ESG Awards brought together Northern Ireland’s leading voices in responsible business. From large corporates to dynamic SMEs, the awards showcased those making tangible strides in environmental, social, and governance practices.
Winners were invited to share their reflections on the night, highlighting the depth and purpose behind their sustainability work. Louise Sterritt from Translink commented, “This is amazingly important for Translink. It’s recognition of the achievement for the wider Translink team and in particular Belfast Grand Central Station, where sustainability has been at the heart of the project.”
Dr. Andy Harris from Wrightbus also spoke proudly of his team’s journey, saying, “To win the Sustainability Company of the Year award is an amazing achievement. Wrightbus as a company five years ago was rescued from administration and is now designing and deploying zero-emission vehicles throughout the UK, Ireland and Germany.”
Social media was alive with positivity, with attendees and supporters using #SESG25 to share their experiences. One post read, “What an inspiring night at #SESG25 – incredible to see so many businesses taking ESG seriously and leading the way in Northern Ireland.” Another attendee shared, “Fantastic to celebrate real sustainability leadership tonight – congratulations to all the winners! #SESG25”
