NIE Networks Achieves Unique Triple Platinum Status

NIE Networks has made history by being the only company in the UK to achieve Investors in People Platinum accreditation across the three strands assessed.

This latest award comes just 12 months after NIE Networks achieved the Investors in People Platinum award which was followed by the platinum accreditation for Apprentices and finally in October 2025, the Wellbeing accreditation.  NIE Networks is one of only seven companies across the UK currently holding all three Investors In People accreditations for People, Wellbeing and Apprentices and the only one to have platinum level across all areas.

The Investors In People Platinum “We invest in Wellbeing Award” is the highest level of recognition for NIE Networks commitment to creating a workplace where people feel supported, valued and able to thrive. The rigorous, unbiased and independent assessment of behaviours, practices and processes demonstrated by the organisation led to it being awarded this the highest accolade it can achieve.

Having held gold accreditation for We Invest in People,  since 2014, NIE Networks is delighted to have achieved the highest level of accreditation across three separate areas, marking it as an employer of choice in Northern Ireland.

Gordon Parkes, Executive Director of People and Culture in NIE Networks, commented:

“This award is highly prestigious.  Our people are the heart and soul of our organisation, and it is reassuring to have received such positive feedback from both them and the IIP assessors. It is also a welcome recognition for the hard work put in by our team members who make NIE Networks the great place to work that it is.”

Paula Leathem, Head of HR added, “This milestone reflects the efforts of so many across our business who champion wellbeing every day, from our Health and Wellbeing Forum to every colleague who takes part and supports our culture of care. This award is a clear reflection of our culture and values in action. We’re committed to supporting our people to thrive, both in and outside of work, and I’m so proud to see that commitment recognised at the highest level.”

Eddie Salmon, Chief Operating Officer, Investors in People Community Interest Company,

“Congratulations to NIE Networks on this exceptional achievement. Attaining We invest in Wellbeing Platinum status is a powerful milestone, one that reflects a culture where wellbeing is not a programme, but a lived commitment. It’s the heartbeat of performance, trust, and pride.  NIE Networks sets a compelling example of what’s possible when leadership vision, employee experience, and strategic intent align. At Investors in People, we’re proud to celebrate this success with everyone at NIE Networks.”
