Wellbeing Week For Belfast City Centre

Business Improvement District Belfast One has announced its first ever Wellbeing Week, running from 12–18 May 2025 across Belfast city centre.

The week-long programme intended to encourage people who work in the city centre to secure a little me-time and consider their health and wellbeing is packed with a diverse line-up of fitness sessions, wellness experiences, creative activities, and community events designed to support wellbeing in every sense – physical, mental, and emotional. Highlights include salsa dancing, sound healing sessions, Hyrox taster sessions and yoga at the dome in Victoria Square.

There will also be a range of offers and discounts throughout the city centre in a number of stores including Specsavers Victoria Square, Mint Velvet, Holland & Barrett and Pure Running.

The theme for the new initiative is “Take a Beat. Feel Better.” It invites workers to pause, reset, and reconnect – with themselves, each other, and the community.

CEO of Belfast One BID Martina Connolly says the initiative should generate some me-time for everyone.

“We’re delighted to introduce our first ever Wellbeing Week to Belfast city centre. This week is all about encouraging people to take time out of their busy lives and spend some time looking after themselves,” says Ms Connolly.

“Belfast has so many great places to relax and look after your wellbeing, and with more students living in the city and a large working population here every day, the focus on wellness has really grown.”

“We’ve designed the programme to ensure there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Whether you’re an early riser looking to start your day right, in need of a lunchtime recharge with your team, or after some fashion advice and pampering, there’s something here for everyone.”

“We’re proud to offer a programme that brings people in Belfast city centre together and celebrates the spirit of our city – and hopefully gives everyone a chance to pause, reset, and reconnect,” Ms Connolly continues.

The programme is open to all workers although, some sessions may require advance booking.
