It was a packed house in the A&L Goodbody Lounge at Ulster Rugby’s Affidea Stadium for the latest Ulster Rugby Business Club event.
Members and guests were welcomed by Ulster Rugby Chief Executive Hugh McCaughey, indulged in a traditional Christmas lunch and enjoyed a panel discussion, compered by former Ulster and Ireland flanker Chris Henry. Chris was joined on stage by fellow Ulster & Ireland star Darren Caves, Leinster & Ireland lock forward Devin Toner and former Leinster, Connacht and Ireland player Mike McCarthy.
All three talked about how they’ve swapped professional rugby for careers in business, Devin & Mike in wealth management/financial services and Darren in hospitality and, more recently, Irish whiskey production.
Back on the pitch, Ulster face a testing away game against Leinster this evening (Friday, 19th December) before travelling to Connacht after Christmas and then welcoming Munster to Belfast on Friday, 2nd January.
