Screen & Media Focus For Belfast Chamber President’s Lunch

Award-winning writer Lisa McGee and acclaimed actress Róisín Gallagher have been announced as guest speakers for the 2026 Belfast Chamber President’s Lunch, in partnership with Belfast City Airport.

Taking place on 26th May at Crowne Plaza Belfast, the event, which will also be supported by Openreach, will shine a spotlight on the city’s thriving screen and media industry, and the creative talent driving its global reputation.

Hosted by broadcaster and performer Lynette Fay, the programme will feature an intimate fireside chat with Lisa and Róisín, exploring their careers, creative journeys and the realities of working in the screen industry today.

Lisa, creator of the globally celebrated Derry Girls and writer of How to Get to Heaven from Belfast, has emerged as one of Northern Ireland’s most influential storytellers, with her work resonating with audiences around the world.

Róisín, meanwhile, is known for her standout performances in The Lovers and How to Get to Heaven from Belfast. A proud Belfast native, Róisín is widely recognised for bringing depth, authenticity and emotional honesty to her roles.

The President’s Lunch will also feature a special live performance from the National Youth Choir NI.
