PRM Group Breaks Ground On £15 Million Lisburn Facility

Construction work has officially commenced on a major £15 million expansion project by Lisburn-based PRM Group, one of Ireland’s leading chilled and frozen food sales, distribution and logistics businesses.

The family-owned company, which distributes household brands including Muller, Ferrero, Fage, Nomadic, Biotiful and GU to retailers across the island of Ireland and GB, has broken ground on a new purpose-built facility at Moira Road, Lisburn.

The investment will create 40 new jobs in the first phase of operation, with additional roles expected to follow as the site reaches full capacity. The project is also set to support employment across the local construction sector throughout the build programme.

The new facility will sit alongside PRM’s existing headquarters and forms part of the company’s long-term strategy to expand its operations and meet increasing demand from customers and supplier partners across Ireland, Great Britain and Europe.

Once completed, the development will provide more than 100,000 square feet of additional warehousing space, triple the number of loading bays and significantly increase pallet capacity.

The facility will also include modern office accommodation, dedicated areas for innovation and product development, and sustainability-focused infrastructure complete with energy-efficient systems and environmentally responsible design principles.

Founded by Philip and Lynne Morrow in 1988, PRM has grown into one of the most significant players in the chilled and frozen food sector, delivering more than 300,000 cases of product each week and working with major retailers including Tesco, Dunnes Stores, Musgrave and Marks & Spencer.

Philip Morrow, CEO and Founder of PRM Group, said: “Breaking ground on this development is a landmark moment for PRM and the culmination of four years of planning and preparation. This £15 million investment shows our confidence in the future of the business and our commitment to supporting our customers, supplier partners and employees.

“The new facility will significantly increase our capacity, improve efficiencies across the business and create new employment opportunities. It will also help future-proof our operations as we continue to grow across our serving markets.”

The new development will complement PRM’s existing operations in Lisburn, Dublin, Dromore and L’Derry and is expected to be delivered in phases.

The expansion follows a period of significant growth for the business and further strengthens PRM’s position as a leading partner for chilled and frozen food brands seeking access to the all-Ireland market.

The first phase of the new facility is expected to become operational towards the end of 2027.
