Peter Corry To Bring Open Air Concerts To Hillsborough Castle & Gardens

This summer, Hillsborough Castle and Gardens will come alive with music as Peter Corry Productions launch an exciting programme of open-air concerts set against the breath-taking backdrop of the castle’s historic grounds.

Taking place from the 26th to 28th June 2026, the Summer Concerts at Hillsborough Castle will feature three standout evenings, each offering a unique musical experience in one of Northern Ireland’s most iconic settings.

Peter Corry, of Peter Corry Productions, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Historic Royal Palaces to bring this exciting series of summer concerts to such a beautiful venue, Hillsborough Castle and Gardens. Each evening has been designed to offer something completely different, from the joy and energy of a traditional céilí to the glamour of musical theatre and a little tongue in cheek love and elegance with Hillsboroughton. It’s a chance for audiences to enjoy world-class entertainment in a truly stunning location.”

Kicking off the series on Friday 26th June is Ceili at the Castle, starring The Celtic Tenors and special guests, this concert promises to be a lively celebration of crossover commercial and traditional Irish music and dance, an evening full of energetic rhythms, and plenty of opportunities for audiences to soak up the spirit of Irish culture.

Matthew Gilsenan of The Celtic Tenors is looking forward to performing; “Ceili at the Castle will be a real celebration of Irish music, culture and togetherness. There’s something very special about performing in a venue as beautiful as Hillsborough Castle, and we can’t wait to help launch the summer in style.”

On Saturday 27th June, the spotlight turns to Hillsboroughton, a vibrant soirée hosted by Claire McCollum. Audiences can look forward to an enchanting evening of music and storytelling exploring themes of love lost, love found and love conquering all – with tongue firmly in cheek. A stellar line-up of local talent will be joined by acclaimed West End star Norman Bowman,creating a beautiful Summer garden party atmosphere in the Castle gardens. There’s also a prize to be won for Best Dressed on the night.

Norman Bowman a celebrated Scottish West End Star, famous for his roles in The Bodyguard, Mamma Mia, Kiss Me Kate and Indecent Proposal, amongst others is excited about returning to Northern Ireland to perform: “I’m delighted to be part of Hillsboroughton. It promises to be a wonderfully entertaining evening full of music, storytelling and heart. Performing in the Castle grounds will make it all the more memorable.”

Bringing the series to a spectacular close on Sunday 28th June is Thank You for the Musicals 2. Acclaimed performer, Peter Corry, will host the show while performing many of his most loved songs from the world of musical theatre. He will be joined on stage by special guestsThis uplifting celebration of musical theatre, featuring powerful performances of some of the world’s best-loved show tunes from Hollywood to Broadway in a magical open-air setting.

Just 20 minutes outside Belfast, Hillsborough Castle is located in 100 picturesque acres, the audience are welcome to come early and enjoy the world class stunning gardens, taking in highlights such as the Rose Garden, which will hopefully be in full bloom, and Lady Alice’s Temple, the perfect spot for photo opportunities. Guests looking for a moment of tranquility before the concert can enjoy the meandering waterways and peaceful woodlands and glens that surround the castle. 

The weekend of musical entertainment will be fueled by a number of food and drink vendors on site along with some exciting packages being offered by local businesses; Peter concludes,

Parking for the event can be found in the Hillsborough Castle Car Park off the A1 and for those wishing to continue on the evening after the show access can also be gained from the village entrance to the castle.
