Peter Corry welcomes West End powerhouse Jennifer Tierney and rising star Niamh Noade to St Anne’s Cathedral this Christmas.
One of Northern Ireland’s most atmospheric and much-loved festive productions, Peter Corry’s Christmas at the Cathedral, will return to the magnificent surroundings of St Anne’s Cathedral, Belfast, this December, with two very special guests joining Peter on stage for 2026.
This year’s production will see acclaimed singer, producer and director, Peter Corry joined by two exceptional performers; 17-year-old singer and harpist Niamh Noade, one of Northern Ireland’s most exciting emerging talents, and Scottish-born West End musical theatre star Jennifer Tierney, who has recently made Northern Ireland her home.
Firmly established as a highlight of Belfast’s Festive calendar, Christmas at the Cathedral 2027 brings together outstanding voices and musicians in the spectacular setting of St Anne’s Cathedral, combining festive favourites with contemporary music, musical theatre and unexpected arrangements to create a Christmas concert with a difference.
For Peter Corry, who has performed on stages around the world during a career spanning more than 30 years, the annual production is an opportunity to bring together established performers and exciting new talent, and he believes this year’s line-up promises something particularly special.
Niamh Noade, from Lislea in County Armagh, first came to national attention when she reached the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent, captivating audiences with the combination of her voice, harp and distinctive contemporary style.
At only 17 years old, Niamh is already redefining perceptions of what the harp can be within modern music. Blending her classical foundations with alternative folk and ambient pop, all underpinned by a modern Celtic influence, she has developed a sound which feels both rooted in tradition and strikingly current.
Her ethereal sound and musicianship promise to be particularly powerful within the acoustics of St Anne’s Cathedral and will bring an entirely new dimension to this year’s production.
At the other end of the performance spectrum, Jennifer Tierney brings extensive West End experience and a formidable musical theatre voice to the Cathedral stage.
Originally from Scotland, Jennifer has recently made Northern Ireland her home following an impressive career which has seen her perform in some of the biggest productions in London’s West End.
Her extensive theatre credits include Wicked, Mamma Mia!, Godspell, Come From Away and Saturday Night Fever, among others.
Renowned for her powerful and versatile vocals, Jennifer is equally at home with musical theatre, contemporary repertoire and soaring ballads, making her an exciting addition to a show which has always enjoyed crossing musical genres.

The Cathedral itself is extraordinary and there is something about performing there at Christmas that creates an atmosphere you simply can’t replicate anywhere else.
“This year I’m genuinely excited about our two special guests. “Jennifer, is a performer of the highest quality. She has an incredible West End pedigree, a phenomenal voice and the versatility to tackle so many different styles of music. We are very lucky that Northern Ireland is now her home and I’m delighted to welcome her to Christmas at the Cathedral.
Niamh meanwhile is an exciting young talent. As well as a beautiful voice, there is something engaging and fresh about what she is doing with the harp, she respects its Celtic and classical heritage but is taking it somewhere new. To hear that sound filling St Anne’s is going to be very special.
“Putting those voices and musical styles together is exactly what this show is about. On stage will also be the BSPA voices choir, made up of students from the Belfast School of Performing Arts who always bring so much heart, soul and fun to the show.
“Of course there will be all the nostalgia and music people associate with Christmas, but there will also be new and unexpected presentations of the classics. We want audiences to leave the Cathedral feeling that Christmas has really begun.”
Peter’s distinctive voice and passionate performance style have taken him around the world, but Christmas at the Cathedral remains a particularly personal fixture in his calendar, with this being the 17th year of his Christmas productions.
Over the years the production has welcomed an array of celebrated guest performers while retaining the intimacy, warmth and sense of occasion which have made it a firm favourite with audiences.
