Neasa Quigley Takes Over As NI Chamber President

NI Chamber has announced the appointment of Neasa Quigley, Joint Head of Corporate at Carson McDowell, as its new President.

She succeeds Kailash Chada, Group CEO of Phoenix Energy, who has completed his term after a year in the role.

With more than 25 years’ experience as a corporate lawyer in Belfast and Dublin, Neasa brings significant expertise to the position. She joined Carson McDowell as a Partner in 2010 and served as Senior Partner from 2019 to 2026, overseeing a period of substantial growth during which the legal firm’s turnover increased by more than 60%.

Renowned for her work across mergers and acquisitions, private equity and project finance, Neasa Quigley has developed a particular specialism in the energy and technology sectors. She is recognised by leading legal directories, Chambers UK and Legal 500 for her outstanding transactional capabilities.

NI Chamber represents more than 1,200 businesses in all sectors across Northern Ireland, championing initiatives and policies which support growth, competitiveness and international trade.

Commenting on her appointment as President at the membership organisation’s Annual General Meeting today (Friday 29 May), Neasa Quigley said:

“At a time of both challenge and opportunity for our economy, I am excited to take on the Presidency of NI Chamber. Business has a critical role to play in shaping the kind of economy and society we want to see in Northern Ireland. I believe strongly that it can be a force for good, driving prosperity, supporting communities and leading positive change.

“Stepping into this role, I am motivated by the opportunity to work alongside member businesses that are driving real impact across our economy and supporting NI Chamber to elevate Northern Ireland’s business voice at a national and international level.”

Welcoming the appointment, Suzanne Wylie, Chief Executive of NI Chamber, added:

“Neasa is a highly respected business leader, with a proven track record of delivering excellence. Her deep understanding of the corporate landscape, combined with her strong connections across key sectors, will be an asset to NI Chamber and our membership. I look forward to working closely with her over the coming year as we continue to advocate for business and drive economic progress. I would also like to thank outgoing President Kailash Chada for his leadership and commitment over the past year, and for his significant contribution to NI Chamber.”

NI Chamber also welcomed three new Directors at the Annual General Meeting in Odyssey Belfast – Mark McCormack (Managing Director and CTO, Aflac); Mark Crimmins (Regional Managing Director, Ulster Bank) and Cara Haffey, (UK Leader of Industry for Industrials & Services, PwC).
