New Year is traditionally a time for mindset shifts and setting goals, something that self- employed freelancers and entrepreneurs don’t always get time to do. Plus, if they’re working on their own, they don’t have the benefit of brainstorming with colleagues either; making entrepreneurship and running a business a potentially lonely place to be.
Enter Momentum, a unique event featuring some of the best experts in brand- building, online growth and personal development, which will take place on 20 January 2023 at The MAC, Belfast.
The event, which has been developed for over a year by creators Warren Giffin and Amee Spence, aims to bring together a community of like-minded professionals and provide them, as Giffin states “with the practical tools and mental models to truly excel in their business endeavours throughout 2023.” He adds: “Our mission is to help support every attendee both personally and professionally with this event – a unique, investment-in-self opportunity and the perfect Friday evening activity in January.
Speakers include self-made entrepreneur and CEO of Bellamianta & Iconic Bronze, Linda Stinson, as well as Born & Bred creator Linzi Rooney, who will give a masterclass on ‘How to Build an Authentic Brand’. Ciaran May will talk on ‘Natural Resilience: Balance & The Olympic Mindset’, while Warren Giffin (CEO of Gekkoshot as well as Momentum founder) will deliver a session on ‘Insider Tips to Dominate Google’. As well as this Cathy Martin and Chloe Henning will team up to impart influencer intel, with a session on ‘The Power of Influencer Marketing’ – which will give an insight into the massively growing creator economy. Sticking with social media, Niraj Kapur – a LinkedIn Top Voice, will talk on ‘Making LinkedIn Work For You’. As the social platform most-cited as the best for organic reach, his tips could prove to be vital for small businesses or entrepreneurs who wish to share their voice.
Attendees will benefit from in person mentoring and motivation from these hugely successful, best-in-class leaders – as well as reaping rewards from networking within the community of fellow guests. “We’re expecting a lot of connection and collaboration among our attendees, both at the event as well as in the weeks afterwards” said Amee Spence, co-founder of Momentum. ”We have a large percentage of people attending alone, but our whole focus is quite informal and we really foster the opportunities that come with the power of in-person networking; be that a new client-supplier relationship, a collaborator or partner, a mentor-mentee or even an investor or vital support network.
“The entire evening is centred around providing attendees with the knowledge, tools and connections needed to take a brand new or existing business to the next level – even if it’s currently a side-hustle or being run from a kitchen table. No idea or business is too small for the injection of confidence that will come from Momentum!” she continued.
The event aims to cover three principal areas of learning
1. Entrepreneur Empowerment
2. Building Mindset Resilience
3. Building Business Resilience
Here’s what to expect within each of those broader topics, from all speakers.
ENTREPRENEUR EMPOWERMENT: Gain insider knowledge on how to truly excel in business as attendees get to know the brains behind some of Ireland and Northern Ireland’s best success stories.
MINDSET RESILIENCE: Success is a mindset. Learn how to build a positive one as our speakers discuss the psychology of high-achievers, the importance of building a support system, burn-out & more!
BUSINESS RESILIENCE: Gain practical advice from marketing experts to help launch, scale & amplify a new or existing business. Cutting-edge masterclasses to level up and elevate your business
Warren adds: “Having attended many events like this world-wide, our main takeaway was to provide real speakers with brilliant experience, proven strategies, winning mental models and a total lack of gatekeeping around the secrets to their success.
“We want our guests to leave the event feeling empowered and emboldened to take the next steps – or giant leaps! – to build their career and their businesses. We want light-bulb moments, lasting connections and quantifiable results to come from this. We’re hoping attendees will leave with courage and confidence, and with note pads full of actionable tips that they can implement right away, no matter how challenging the economic or personal circumstances.”
