Mallusk Enterprise Park Delivers £24.96 Million Economic Impact As Demand For Enterprise Space Grows

Mallusk Enterprise Park (MEP) has unveiled its 2025 Social & Economic Impact Report, revealing a £24.96 million contribution to the local economy and highlighting growing demand for enterprise space and business support services across Northern Ireland.

Operating as one of Northern Ireland’s leading enterprise hubs and part of the wider Enterprise NI network operating across 44 sites, Mallusk Enterprise Park supported 405 entrepreneurs throughout 2025, helping businesses start, scale, and create employment opportunities within the local economy.

The report demonstrates the significant role enterprise infrastructure continues to play in supporting indigenous business growth, with tenant companies and programme interventions contributing to the creation of 248 new jobs during the year.

A total of 72 businesses are currently operating from Mallusk Enterprise Park, which is now functioning at full occupancy, with demand for flexible workspace and enterprise support continuing to rise. The organisation also maintains a growing waiting list, reflecting increasing pressure for high-quality enterprise accommodation and business support infrastructure across the region.

Throughout the year, Mallusk Enterprise Park delivered 2,937 hours of one-to-one mentoring support to entrepreneurs and business owners, while 575 individuals enhanced their skills through workshops, training programmes, and business development initiatives.

The figures come at a timely moment as discussions continue around the future of regional economic regeneration and the Local Growth Fund consultation, reinforcing the need for continued investment in enterprise infrastructure to support entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainable economic growth across Northern Ireland.

As a social enterprise, Mallusk Enterprise Park remains committed not only to economic development, but also to creating positive social impact through employability initiatives, skills development, wellbeing programmes, and inclusive opportunities for individuals from all backgrounds.

CEO Emma Garrett said:

“These figures demonstrate the real economic and social value that enterprise agencies deliver within local communities. Behind every statistic is a business that has grown, a job that has been created, or an individual who has gained the confidence and support needed to move forward.

The fact that Mallusk Enterprise Park is operating at full capacity, alongside a growing waiting list for space and support, clearly demonstrates the increasing demand for enterprise infrastructure across Northern Ireland.

As conversations continue around the Local Growth Fund and regional economic development, it is vital that investment continues in the spaces, programmes, and support systems that enable indigenous businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive.”

With continued focus on enterprise, innovation, and community regeneration, Mallusk Enterprise Park remains committed to supporting business growth and creating long-term economic and social impact across Northern Ireland.
