Lough Erne Art Collection Unveiling Event Next Week

Lough Erne Resort invites guests to an exclusive evening unveiling the Lough Erne Art Collection on Tuesday 16 December from 5.30pm to 7.00pm.

This intimate preview offers collectors, art lovers and Resort guests an early chance to explore and acquire pieces from a thoughtfully curated collection tailored to complement the Resort’s public and private spaces.

The collection, curated by Hambly & Hambly, comprises 65 original works by a range of contemporary artists and is displayed throughout the Resort, across some of the resort’s most distinctive settings: the inviting Reception, panoramic Garden Hall, atmospheric Blaney Bar and Loughside Grill to the refined tranquility of the Presidential Suites.

Each work has been carefully sited to respond to the character of its setting, creating a considered conversation between artwork, architecture and the guest experience.

In line with its ethos of collaboration and support for local partners, Lough Erne Resort commissioned its neighbours, Hambly & Hambly, the gallery and art consultancy, to curate the collection, with works carefully chosen to enrich both the interiors and the visitor experience.

Known for championing contemporary Irish talent and delivering tailored curatorial programmes for public and private clients, Hambly & Hambly has brought together an engaging mix of established and emerging artists for this collection.

Featured artists will include Eamon Colman, Ani Mollereau, Brian Byrne, Neal Greig, Geoff O’Keeffe, Maria Noonan McDermott, Colman-Mazur, and Billy Moore, and an official opening address will be given by Ciara Hambly, curator of the gallery and The Lough Erne Collection.

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet many of the artists behind the works, view the paintings at their leisure and enjoy light seasonal entertainment.

Representatives from Hambly & Hambly will be on hand throughout the evening to discuss the artworks, provide insight into the selection process and answer enquiries about purchasing.

A specially commissioned Lough Erne Collection booklet will offer further information on the artists and individual works, serving as a useful guide for visitors.

The event provides a relaxed environment to discover new work, speak directly with artists and learn about the stories behind the paintings, all to the sound of live traditional Irish music.

Guests will be treated to a drinks reception, festive canapés, a Lough Erne Collection booklet and an exclusive 10% discount on all paintings purchased during the event.

RSVP to the event is required. To reserve a place, please email ciara@hamblyandhambly.com
