The cost-of-living crisis has been a growing concern for employers, with many struggling to provide their employees with the financial support they need to make ends meet, with pay rises not possible. The event will bring together experts from a variety of fields to provide valuable insights and practical solutions for employers looking to address this pressing issue. As employers, it’s important to provide support and resources to help employees manage their finances and maintain their well-being, and in turn boost engagement and productivity.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers, to discuss practical solutions and strategies for supporting employees during a cost-of-living crisis, to reward, retain, restructure, and boost financial resilience. The online event will feature 8 sessions focused on a variety of topics, including: improving the financial well-being of your workforce; supporting a team through a crisis and how to have sensitive conversations; how employee engagement changed the fortunes of global companies; how to untap hidden talents to avoid recruitment; and the importance of supporting HR and line managers during a time of added pressure. Some of the expert speakers running the sessions will include Gareth Walls, A&L Goodbody; Conor Curran, Queens University and Michelle Halloran, Trainer at Halloran HR Resolutions Ltd.
The goal of the event is to provide employers with the tools they need to create a more equitable and sustainable work environment, while also helping to address the cost-of-living crisis affecting workers across the country.
“We value feedback at Legal Island, and during a recent survey over 60% of participants asked for an event that would help with the cost-of-living crisis and employee engagement. That was a clear message to us of what employers and HR professionals in Northern Ireland currently need. Our aim for our ‘Key Priorities in HR During a Cost-of-Living Crisis’ event is to provide attendees with the tools and knowledge they need to stay ahead in their respective fields,” Kerry Murphy, Head of Knowledge Team. “With respect to the nature of this full day event we have extended our early bird price of £195 (+ VAT) to be available until Friday 24th February.”
