FonaCab Lifts Taxi Company Title At Annual Awards

fonaCAB has again won the Taxi Company Of The Year Award, Northern Ireland and Ireland, at the annual Taxi Summit Awards. Taxi Summit brings together taxi operators and suppliers from across the UK and Ireland and recognises the success, innovation and hard work that goes on within the taxi industry

The awards ceremony, held at the iconic Blackpool Tower Ballroom, saw fonaCAB win the Taxi Company Of The Year Award and be shortlisted as finalists in The Green Taxi Company Award and The Woman of the Year Award

fonaCAB Managing Director, William McCausland, attended the prestigious event and accepted the award on behalf of the company, thanking his team for their efforts in the company’s success again this year. He added

“It’s fantastic to win Taxi Company Of The Year for Northern Ireland and Ireland for a third time. As the largest independent taxi operator on the island of Ireland our customers expect a consistently high standard of service from us, and it’s wonderful to be recognised for our efforts in ensuring we deliver this”

“Over the last year, fonaCAB has worked hard on our environmental footprint, moving to solar power at our head office, adding vehicle charging facilities and helping move over a quarter of our fleet onto low and zero emission vehicles. We’re proud of our green credentials and delighted to be acknowledged for our initiatives here”

“Demand for taxis still outstrips supply in Northern Ireland at many times, and to help address this, fonaCAB has been proactive, doing all we can to increase driver numbers. We’ve worked hard through our Driver Academy to bring much needed new drivers into the industry, and it’s wonderful to see our Training and HR Manager recognised in the Woman of the Year category for her leadership here, she’s gone above and beyond to help so many gain their licences”

“2024 has been another strong year for fonaCAB, and despite the current additional challenges of roadworks and changeable seasonal weather right now, we look forward to a great Christmas getting our passengers where they need to be”
