Five first-year law students from across Northern Ireland have completed the inaugural Foot Anstey McKees Accelerate programme, an initiative launched to remove barriers to entering the legal profession and support emerging legal talent.
The successful participants, Jessica Clarken and Lujain Fathelbab from Queen’s University Belfast and Alicia Hayes, Ethan McPhillips and Grace Hamilton from Ulster University, completed a paid internship at Foot Anstey McKees’ Belfast office and will continue to benefit from financial support, mentoring and ongoing professional support throughout their studies.
Selected through a competitive recruitment process, the participants spent a week at the law firm’s Belfast office, where they gained practical insight into the legal profession, worked alongside members of its legal teams and took part in a series of professional development activities.
