DECO Engineering, a specialist electrical contractor at the forefront of critical infrastructure delivery across Europe, has announced a turnover of £17 million for the year ended March 2025.
The company is projecting further growth in excess of 30% for the year ending March 2026 and with a similar outlook for 2027, underpinned by a strong pipeline of secured projects, an expanding international client base, and a team that continues to grow in capability and ambition.
Founded in 2022 and headquartered in Navan (ROI), with additional operations in Magherafelt, DECO Engineering has established itself as a trusted partner for some of Europe’s most critical electrical infrastructure programmes. The company, led by local businessmen Declan Donnelly and Darran Monaghan, employs over 350 staff and currently operates across Ireland, the UK, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Italy and Spain.
A cornerstone of DECO Engineering’s growth has been its specialist capability in Data Centre construction, one of the most technically exacting sectors in the built environment. The company operates across both new-build Data Centre installations and complex works within live, critical environments. The ability to deliver full electrical installations, and critical infrastructure installations to the exacting standards required by Data Centre operators has positioned DECO Engineering as a go-to contractor for major projects across Europe.
The company has recently formalised an ambitious five-year growth strategy and has already secured in excess of £65 million in projects scheduled for delivery within the next 24 months. DECO Engineering’s core service offering spans electrical services, off-site manufacturing, and commissioning activities, with specialist divisions serving the life sciences, large-scale commercial and Data Centre sectors.
Declan Donnelly, Director, DECO Engineering, said: “Over the last three years, we have developed our business rapidly by securing major project wins, expanding our international footprint, and maintaining a relentless focus on safety and operational delivery.
My business partner Darran Monaghan and I understand the complexities and challenges inherent in major electrical infrastructure projects, which is why we have been able to scale so quickly in such a short space of time. Another key factor in our success has been our ability to attract and retain some of the best electrical engineering talent in Ireland and beyond. By investing in advanced technologies and continuous staff development, we are building the competitive edge that will define us in the years ahead.”
Darran Monaghan, Managing Director, DECO Engineering, commented: “Our success is built on a clear understanding of what our clients need and an unwavering commitment to delivering it. We recognise that in the sectors we operate in, a missed deadline can have significant operational and financial consequences for our clients. That responsibility shapes everything we do; from the standards we set to the people we select to deploy on every project.
“We are focused on growing DECO Engineering at the right pace, with the right people, because we understand that sustainable success in this industry demands exactly that. Our people remain our greatest asset and our greatest responsibility. We are committed to ensuring that DECO Engineering team grow with us, which is why we have structures in place to ensure we share the success we are building together.”
