CO3 has unveiled the 72 leaders in the community and voluntary sector who are shortlisted for their annual Leadership Awards. Marking the 40th anniversary of CO3, this year’s awards have seen a record number of entrants across the 13 categories, reflecting the strength, dedication, and resilience of leaders within the voluntary and community sector.
The awards ceremony will take place at the Europa Hotel, Belfast, on 27th March, and will bring together influential leaders, key stakeholders and supporters to celebrate the achievement of many leaders from across the community and voluntary sector. The 13 categories, which include Inspiring Leader of the Year, Mentor of the Year and Leading Workplace Wellbeing, will recognise those someone who has demonstrated strong leadership in navigating challenges and driving social impact.
Launching the awards event, CO3 Chief Executive Valerie McConville expressed her enthusiasm “We are absolutely delighted with the level of interest in this year’s Leadership Awards. The record number of entrants is a testament to the incredible resilience, passion and commitment of leaders across the voluntary and community sector. Despite ongoing challenges such as public funding constraints and National Insurance increases, the sector continues to demonstrate strength and determination in serving our communities.”
CO3 Chair Jacinta Linden echoed this sentiment, saying “This year’s shortlist highlights the wealth of talent and dedication within the sector. These awards provide a vital opportunity to recognise and celebrate the inspiring individuals who work tirelessly to create positive change.
