For the first time in its history, CCEA has been awarded Investors in People (IiP) Gold Accredited Status, placing Northern Ireland’s curriculum, examinations and assessment body among an elite group of organisations worldwide, with fewer than one third of IiP accredited organisations achieving Gold.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for CCEA, reflecting the strength of its culture, the quality of its leadership, and its long-standing commitment to the people who make its work possible.
Investors in People is a globally recognised framework used by more than 50,000 organisations worldwide to evaluate how effectively they support, develop and invest in their workforce. Gold Status is awarded to those that demonstrate excellence beyond good practice, recognising a genuine commitment to creating a culture where people are valued, empowered and equipped to thrive.
The accreditation was informed by evidence gathered from across the organisation, drawing on the real experiences, feedback and contributions of CCEA staff. Achieving the Gold standard highlights the dedication and professionalism colleagues bring to their roles, as well as the collaborative and supportive environment they have built together.
Gerry Campbell, Chief Executive, said:
“Our Investors in People Gold Accreditation is a testament to more than 20 years of commitment to the IiP Framework and CCEA’s sustained investment in our people. This is a truly proud moment for the organisation. It is a remarkable achievement, and one that belongs to every member of our team.”
Stephanie McCutcheon, Investors in People Practitioner, said:
“It has been a genuine pleasure to support CCEA on its Investors in People journey over the years. Achieving Gold is a testament to the commitment, professionalism and pride that colleagues bring to their work every day. The culture they have built together is something to be proud of, and this accreditation reflects the strength of that collective effort. It also creates real momentum for the future, giving CCEA a strong foundation to build on as it continues to evolve, develop and invest in its people.”
Deborah O’Hare, Chairman of CCEA, added:
“Achieving Investors in People Gold is an important milestone for CCEA and a strong endorsement of our commitment to supporting and developing our people. This accreditation reflects the professionalism and dedication of colleagues across the organisation and the positive culture they have created. We are proud to receive this recognition and remain committed to maintaining the highest standards for our staff and the education community we serve.”
