On Thursday 27th November, Cancer Fund for Children will bring music and light to St Anne’s Cathedral with a special Twilight Concert, proudly supported by Power NI. The event will raise vital funds to help the charity support children, young people, and families living with the impact of cancer.
Nestled in the flickering glow of candlelight, attendees will be treated to a mesmerising evening of music and connection with performances by Belfast’s own Brian Kennedy, the wonderful Ulster Youth Orchestra and the charity’s own Care Free Choir, made up of families supported by the charity, staff and volunteers. This event will also be hosted by radio presenter, Rebecca McKinney.
Speaking on this, Colleen Donnelly, Sponsorship Executive at Power NI said:
“Power NI is delighted to be supporting Cancer Fund for Children’s Twilight Concert for a third year in a row. Cancer Fund for Children does tremendously valuable work across Northern Ireland for those young people impacted by cancer, their families and their communities. We look forward to November 27th and what promises to be a wonderful night for a great cause.”
After experiencing their own cancer diagnosis, the Black family were supported by Cancer Fund for Children and will be performing at the event as part of the Care Free Choir. Speaking on their involvement, they said:
“Being part of the choir has connected us with other families who have gone through a similar cancer experience, creating a supportive community built on laughter and a shared love of music. Having the opportunity to perform in a venue like St Anne’s Cathedral will be a truly memorable experience.”
Each week in Northern Ireland, approximately 3 children and young people (aged 0-24) are diagnosed with cancer. Purchasing tickets to this event will help fund Cancer Fund for Children’s vital services so they can be there for families when they need them most.
Tickets can be purchased on the charity’s website today where you can also find out more about this organisation and how you can support. Visit:https://cancerfundforchildren.com/event/twilight-concert-2025/
