Briggs Equipment To Sponsor North West 200 For Third Year

The 2026 North West 200 Race Week on May 4-9 will mark the third year for Briggs Equipment as title sponsors of the north coast road race event. Since coming on board during 2024, the Lisburn-based company has played a significant role in the development of the road race meeting.

“It’s fantastic to be here again at the launch of another Briggs Equipment North West 200 and I have no doubt it will be another record breaker in many ways,” Gary Clements, Briggs Equipment Ireland Group Director, said as he joined NW200 Race Director Mervyn Whyte and racer, Christian Elkin to mark the occasion at the company’s premises.

“I am extremely proud of the relationship we’ve built up with Mervyn and his top class team as we head into this third year of our title sponsorship. Together we have made many improvements to the event and we will continue to work hard to ensure the fans get the best racing spectacle possible. Every year the North West 200 throws up great stories and I have a feeling that 2026 could create more than ever. I can’t wait for it!”

Alongside the company’s title sponsorship commitment, Briggs Equipment will also sponsor Saturday’s opening Superbike race and will be supported by sister company, Balloo Hire. as the successful relationship between both companies and the north coast races continues. Alongside a significant financial investment, Briggs and Balloo also provide machinery and infrastructure within the paddock area.

“The Coleraine and District Motor Club is very grateful for all the help and support we receive from Briggs Equipment and Balloo Hire and we are looking forward to working alongside Gary and his staff once again in 2026.” NW200 Race Director Mervyn Whyte said.

“It is not an exaggeration to say their support has helped us to transform the NW200 and we intend to continue that development during 2026.”
