The Belfast Giants have announced the return of BTL Medical Ireland as the club’s official rehabilitation partner.
Founded in the Czech Republic in 1993, BTL is one of the world’s major manufacturers of medical equipment, operating globally with offices in more than 90 countries worldwide. BTL develops, manufactures, and markets a portfolio of internationally recognised medical technologies, and has become a market leader in non-invasive treatments, a crucial component in modern sports rehabilitation.
Steve Thornton, Sports Director at The Odyssey Trust, said: “We’re grateful and appreciative of BTL Medical’s continued support this season. Hockey is an incredibly physically demanding sport, with the team often playing multiple games per week, so ensuring that the team has access to state-of-the-art recovery and rehabilitation equipment is essential to our success. As part of the ongoing partnership, BTL Medical Ireland will continue to support the club’s medical and performance team by providing clinically supported rehabilitation and recovery technology, designed to enhance athlete wellbeing and optimise return to play outcomes. BTL Medical Ireland has also become the sponsor of newest arrival, Ben Freeman.
BTL Medical Ireland has gifted the club three advance systems – BTL Lymphatism, BTL Radial Shockwave, and BTL High Intensity Laser. These technologies complement traditional physiotherapy approaches and reinforce a shared commitment to excellence, innovation, and player recovery. BTL Medical Ireland will also provide training and ongoing support via its Ireland-based team.
