Fashion was the headline and fundraising was the story as BDO Northern Ireland (BDO NI) hosted an exclusive charity premiere of The Devil Wears Prada 2 in support of its charity partner, Cancer Fund for Children.
150 guests of the leading accountancy and advisory firm stepped into the spotlight for lunch and a private afternoon screening at Odeon Belfast, bringing the generosity (and the glamour) in equal measure.
A raffle on the day sparked a flurry of bids for statement-worthy prizes, including Prada sunglasses, Victoria Square shopping vouchers and luxury perfume.
The event is one of a series planned by BDO NI to raise vital funds for Cancer Fund for Children, as Tax Partner Lorraine Nelson explains: “This was a truly special event with lots of style and glamour on display, as well as lots of generous donations to our wonderful charity partner.
“We were only too delighted to welcome our clients, partners and friends to Odeon Belfast, for a truly memorable and meaningful afternoon. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for all the fun, fashion and funds!
“Cancer Fund for Children is an incredibly important organisation that helps children facing cancer, and their families, at times when they need support the most. Over the next two years, we will be doing as much as we can to raise awareness and funds to help them continue their incredible work,” Lorraine said.
