Air Ambulance NI has thanked the team at M&S Lisburn for their exceptional fundraising efforts throughout 2025, raising an incredible total of £6,633.99 in support of the charity’s life-saving service.
Over the course of the year, staff at M&S Lisburn demonstrated remarkable dedication and community spirit by organising and participating in a wide range of fundraising activities. These included taking part in the Belfast City Marathon, hosting in-store bucket collections and bag packs, and encouraging customer donations through collection jars placed throughout the store.
Every pound raised will directly support Air Ambulance NI’s vital service, which works alongside the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service to deliver urgent medical care to those in critical need across the region.
Bébhionn Hardy, Community Fundraising Coordinator at Air Ambulance NI, said:
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone at M&S Lisburn for their unwavering support and commitment throughout 2025. The energy and enthusiasm shown by the team has been truly inspiring, and the funds raised will make a real difference in helping us continue to provide our critical care service. We are also delighted that M&S Lisburn will be continuing their support into 2026, and we look forward to working together on even more impactful fundraising initiatives.”
Air Ambulance Northern Ireland relies on public donations to sustain its service, and partnerships with local businesses like M&S Lisburn play a crucial role in ensuring the helicopter and medical team can respond when they are needed most.
Donna, representing M&S Lisburn, added:
“We are so proud of what our team and customers have achieved together this year. Supporting Air Ambulance NI has been a cause close to our hearts, and it’s been fantastic to see the community come together through so many different activities. We’re excited to continue our partnership into 2026 and build on what we’ve achieved so far.”
The charity Air Ambulance NI, in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the HEMS for Northern Ireland. The service brings urgent medical assistance to anywhere in the province, operating seven days a week for 12 hours per day. The HEMS team attend patients who are seriously ill or injured, bringing emergency pre-hospital care direct to the casualty with the aim of saving lives, brains and limbs. The aircraft can reach anywhere in the province within twenty-five minutes.
On average the medical team are called upon twice every day, whether that to a serious road traffic collision, farm or workplace accident, sport and leisure incident or a serious medical emergency.
As a local charity, Air Ambulance NI aspires to raise £3 million each year to maintain and sustain this service so public donations are crucial. One of the simplest ways to support is by becoming a member of Club AANI and donating via a monthly or annual subscription.
