FutureRange, one of Ireland’s leading IT managed services businesses, has expanded its presence across the island of Ireland with the acquisition of EOS Systems. The acquisition of the Northern Ireland IT services company marks the launch of FutureRange’s all-island growth strategy, reflecting growing demand for stronger cyber security, cloud modernisation and resilient managed IT services.
As part of its wider growth plans, FutureRange expects to create up to 50 new roles over the next 24 months, supporting increased demand across the business while continuing to invest in long-term capability and service quality across the island of Ireland.
Founded in 2002, EOS Systems provides managed IT services, Microsoft solutions, network infrastructure and helpdesk support to a diverse base of SME and public sector clients across Northern Ireland. The business has built a strong reputation for dependable service delivery and long-standing client relationships, with a focus on practical, responsive support.
FutureRange operates as a security-first managed services partner, helping organisations operate with confidence in an increasingly complex technology landscape. Its capabilities include robust cyber security, resilient cloud and infrastructure services, and practical, well-governed adoption of data and AI.
The acquisition brings together two complementary managed services businesses with more than 50 years of combined operating experience. It reflects a broader shift in client expectations, with organisations increasingly seeking partners that can provide secure operational foundations while supporting responsible technology evolution at scale.
Northern Ireland reflects this change in demand, making the expansion a natural step. By combining EOS Systems’ local relationships and service continuity with FutureRange’s security-led operating model and depth of technical expertise, the enlarged business is positioned to support clients more closely as technology and security priorities continue to evolve across both public and private sectors.
EOS Systems will continue to operate from Belfast under its existing leadership team, led by Managing Director Peter Brown.
Danny McEntee, Managing Director of FutureRange, said the acquisition represented a carefully considered milestone for the business.
“This was not a decision we rushed into. Expanding our presence across the island of Ireland was a significant step for us, and it mattered that we partnered with a business that genuinely shared our focus on long-term client relationships and service quality,” he said.
“Organisations are under growing pressure to operate securely while still moving forward with cloud, data and AI initiatives. This acquisition allows us to extend our approach across the island while continuing to invest in our people and our capability.”
He added that the deal marked the beginning of a new phase of growth.
“This strengthens our all-island presence and provides a strong platform for further investment. Over the next two years, we expect to grow our team significantly as we support clients through increasingly complex technology and security challenges.”
Peter Brown, Director of EOS Systems, said joining FutureRange creates long-term opportunity while maintaining continuity for clients and staff.
“EOS Systems has always been built around people and trusted relationships. Our clients rely on us to keep their operations running smoothly day to day,” he said.
“Becoming part of FutureRange allows us to build on that foundation with greater depth of expertise and a stronger security-led operating model, while keeping the local presence and service approach our clients value. There are real opportunities ahead as the combined business continues to grow across the island.”
For EOS Systems’ clients, the acquisition provides access to broader technical expertise, enhanced service resilience and continued investment in systems and security, while maintaining the service quality and relationships they are accustomed to.
The acquisition represents a significant step in FutureRange’s all-island growth strategy and positions the business to continue investing in people, capability and well-governed technology delivery in line with evolving client needs.
